Universal 5 Oracle

It's odd to me that sometimes, late at night, when I'm looking for something in a hard drive, an image I don't remember making some long time ago, pops up.....in this case, a vague recognition ignited as I remember making the original photos using a book of ancient yantras for the background, decades ago, when I built up montages before Photoshop made it happen magically.

Then, a few years ago, again, late at night,  I found a small pile of those little 4x6 prints in a box, and dropping into a dreamy state, sat on the floor, playing them into this configuration, then taking  a photo of it.  And that was that. Until now.....

Trapped Spirits: (What) Lies Within

I believe objects are imbued with an intrinsic vibration/energy when created  and it is amplified over time by interaction with people or environments. Dolls and figurines that are associated with human forms are perfect totems or talisman that often reverberate with energy absorbed or infused by being played with, or being placed for a period of time on a shelf or table in a home.
Sometimes love and feelings of nurture and positive power of healing emanate from objects….and sometimes fears and pain are trapped within. By observing that which is uncomfortable within ourselves we have the opportunity to acknowledge that darkness and dispel it with the light of understanding. India - Hampi - Doors

While in Hampi, India I was drawn to the wonderful colors and designs of doorways. Doors and doorways are not an unusual subject for people to photograph, but none the less,  early years of painting and love of design pulled my attention to these particular scenes.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

India - Hampi Power Journey part 4

This batch of photos is larger, and covers a few days of exploring temples and a cave around Hampi and meditating again at the river on our last morning.

Again, I apologize for not taking notes, although I do know that the images toward the top involving the monkeys, views from height, climbing stairs (there were almost 600 of them,) as well as an some interior shots of statues, are from the Hanuman temple. It is claimed that Hanuman was born at the spot where the temple is situated.
As I do often, there is a mix of more documentary images with stuff I just like visually, and happen to be where I am at the moment, with no regard for context of story telling.
